The Comey hearings uncovered something that has remained a mystery for months: where he stands on the political spectrum–and more specifically, on the Trump-Clinton debate. Now there is no doubt: he does not like or trust president Donald Trump.

Comey took notes on his Trump conversations, he contends, precisely because he believed Trump is a liar and a man not to be trusted. He spoke of his boss, the president and commander in chief, as a man of suspect character who needed to be shunned. Comey is a never-Trumper, plain and simple. The question is: why?  Perhaps Comey is  a swamp creature who fears the hunter, or a bureaucrat who looks down his nose the newcomer businessman in the Oval office, or a disgruntled employee who despises the boss who shamed him. Probably all three.

My momma always told me that any time you point your finger at someone,  three fingers are pointing back at you.

Comey Unveiled

We see from the former FBI director’s sworn testimony that he is no angel. He is a leaker. He is vindictive and disgruntled. And he has little to no respect for his ex boss, the commander in chief. So is it a stretch to question whether Comey is actually telling the truth? Looking over his past performances as FBI Director that have left people on both sides of aisle confused, that would not be much of a stretch!

If Comey didn’t trust a duly elected president, the honorable thing would be to resign. But Comey was not honorable. Instead, he was a sneaky note-taker collecting grievances as insurance for himself. But he didn’t create a national crisis alone. He colluded with the anti-Trump media, which recognized the FBI director as a kindred spirit; he cemented their brotherhood with leaks. (Michael Goodwin, New York Post)

[According to his testimony at the hearing] Comey wanted to prevent the appointment of a special counsel for Hillary Clinton, who was the subject of an FBI investigation, but he wanted to “prompt” the appointment of a special counsel for President Trump, who was not the subject of an FBI investigation.
